Former President Donald Trump, known for his sharp criticisms of Biden in the past, offered a surprisingly warm message. Posting on his social platform Truth Social, Trump said he and former First Lady Melania Trump were saddened by the news. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” Trump wrote.
Obama Expresses Confidence in Biden’s Strength
Barack Obama, under whom Biden served as vice president for eight years, also expressed support. Sharing his message on X (formerly Twitter), Obama wrote, “Michelle and I are thinking of the entire Biden family. Joe has done more than anyone to advance cancer research. We know he’ll take on this challenge with the same courage and determination he’s shown throughout his life.”

Biden’s focus on cancer research has deep personal roots. In 2015, his son Beau Biden passed away from brain cancer. That loss led Biden to champion the Cancer Moonshot initiative, aimed at cutting cancer deaths and improving care for those affected.
